The Ruins Within represents emotional decay, identity fragmentation and the alienation of the self. Through a series of three busts, each conveying a distinct emotional state, my body of work examines the internal landscapes that shape and sometimes distort our outer forms. My intention is for these figures to illustrate an evolution from humanoid forms into alien-like entities whose scarred surfaces and damaged exteriors communicate trauma, transformation and the erosion of familiarity. I invite the audience to see, beneath each fractured shell, an inner layer, an anatomical suggestion of vulnerability, memory, and the remnants of what once was.
