Staff are encouraged to nurture their own faith and understanding through opportunities such as further study in Religious Education and Theology, prayer and reflection, retreats and pilgrimages and other faith formation activities.
The college recognises the importance of developing the faith of its staff with whom the “identity and success of Catholic education is linked inseparably” (John Paul II, Ecclesia in Oceania, 2001). Staff regularly participate in the activities of our local St Vincent de Paul Conference and engage in annual spirituality days. In addition, staff at Marist College participate in retreats, pilgrimages and formative experiences offered by Sydney Catholic Schools and Marist Schools Australia. College staff are also invited to be part of our local Marist Association which aims to empower staff as agents and witnesses of the new evangelisation and a contemporary Marist expression.
