Marist College Eastwood today welcomed representatives from the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF), who distributed food vouchers to eight Catholic schools in the Ryde local area. A total of $4,750 in food vouchers was donated to the CEF by the North Ryde RSL, with $750 allocated to Secondary Colleges and $500 to Primary Schools.

Silvana Rossetti, Principal of Marist College Eastwood, said: “Schools are often the first to witness the challenges many families face and as a community we want to ensure that no family ever feels alone in times of need. These vouchers will make a real difference to families, particularly at this time of year, as they strive to make Christmas a little brighter for their children.”

The Catholic Education Foundation is the not-for-profit charity of Sydney Catholic Schools. It provides support to families, enabling all children – regardless of personal circumstances – to access a Catholic education. The CEF relies entirely on corporate partnerships, community grants, fundraising events and donations to sustain its vital work.

Kathleen Badolato from the CEF explained: “The Emergency Food Relief initiative offers families confidential, immediate support, ensuring no parent feels alone and every child has access to the essential dignity of a meal.” She continued: “Today would not have been possible without the incredible support of the North Ryde RSL. Their commitment to local families goes far beyond financial assistance—it reflects a genuine spirit of compassion and solidarity. The Catholic Education Foundation is deeply grateful for their partnership.”
